consisting of one main island and several smaller islands around it. Bali is the most favorite tourist destination in Indonesia. Every year Bali is visited by thousands of tourists both from domestic and foreign. Tourism is the main source of income in the Province of Bali because not only having beautiful nature Bali also has a unique culture but Bali also has a high risk of disaster because Bali is located very close to the collision zone between the Indo-Australian Plate and the Eurasian Plate. Besides that, in Bali there is also an active volcano, GunungAgung, which is still in alert status. Disasters affect the tourism sector so the government needs to have preparedness in facing disasters to protect the public and tourists. The purpose of this study was to determine the preparedness of the Bali government in facing the threat of disaster. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data obtained by the method of observation and interviews conducted to the provincial government of Bali and related agencies. The results of the study were analyzed based on indicators of preparedness, they are 1. Knowledge and attitudes towards disaster risk, 2. Policies and guidelines, 3.Emergency planning, 4.Disaster early warning system 5. Resource mobilization capabilities
