Abstract
Fake eyelashes are artificial eyelashes to beautify the eyes. This study aimed to analyze the comparison of fake eyelashes from sisal leaf fiber with real human hair seen from laboratory tests, organoleptic tests, hedonic tests, and T-tests. This study used a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental) experiment. There are 15 panelists for the assessment. Based on the results of laboratory tests the average tensile strength was 0.08%, the elastic modulus test was 0.12%, and the fiber fineness test was 7.51%. The results of the organoleptic test of eyelashes from human hair are that the curvature indicator (53.33%) is very thick, the lightness indicator (40.0%) is light, and the neatness indicator (53.33%) is very neat. The results of the hedonic test of the panelists' preference (46.6%) liked it. The results of the organoleptic test of sisal leaf fiber, the elasticity indicator (53.33%) was very sticky, the lightness indicator (73.33%) was very light, and the neatness indicator (66.67%) was very neat. The results of the panelist's favorite hedonic test (73.33%) like it. The results of the T-test did not get a significant comparison on the flexibility indicator t count = 0.265 < (t table 2.048), lightness indicator t count = 1.075 < (t table 2.048), neatness indicator t count = 0.798 < (t table 2.048), preference indicator panelists t count = 1.654 < (t table 2.048). It can be concluded that there is no significant difference in the comparison of the results of eyelashes from sisal leaf fiber with eyelashes from human hair.
