A Systematic Literature Review of Value Belief Norm in Relation to Ecotourism Participation Intention

Abstract


Purpose: The purpose of this systematic literature review is to comprehensively examine and synthesize existing research on the application of the Value Belief Norm (VBN) framework in the context of ecotourism participation intention.


Method:
A systematic search will be conducted in reputable academic databases, Google Scholar using a predefined set of keywords related to ecotourism, Value Belief Norm theory, and ecotourism participation intention.

Findings: Results shows that insights into the geographical and contextual variations in ecotourism participation intention research. Trends in research methodologies and approaches utilized in ecotourism and VBN studies. The integration of sustainability practices can be used in measuring the ecotourism participation intention.

Limitations/Implications: This paper seeks to contribute and analyse limited articles on VBN in relation to ecotourism participation intention and identify further research areas.


Originality:
The review of findings from diverse sources and the identification of research gaps on VBN in relation to ecotourism participation intention will further enhance the originality and significance of this review.
