Abstract


I

t is important to develop learning media using existing infrastructure and facilities as a solution to increase students' understanding of hair beauty and increase the variety of learning media according to student characteristics. This study aims to achieve several things, namely: (1) Assessing the suitability of the media used, and (2) ) Evaluate student responses to the use of learning media in the form of animated videos in mastering basic competencies in the anatomy and physiology of hair. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method which is based on the Borg and Gall model which has been simplified into seven stages. This research involved students who were participants in the UNESA Bachelor of Beauty Education study program as respondents. The method for collecting data in this study is through the use of a questionnaire. In data analysis, quantitative descriptive techniques were used using percentage statistical methods. The results of the study show (1) Animated video learning media received a feasibility assessment of 96% from media experts, 96.1% from material experts, and 94.2% from language experts. The percentage of assessments from the three experts falls into the very appropriate category for animated video learning media (2) Student responses to animated video learning media reached 93.4% with very good criteria. From these results, it is concluded that the development of animated video learning media has good feasibility high as a learning medium. This media can improve learning outcomes in cognitive aspects and receive good responses from students
