Basic Hair Trimming is one of the practical courses in the Cosmetology and Beauty Education Study Program whose learning material is difficult for students to understand because there is no media that can help students understand the lesson. Based on the results of observations, it shows that the basic hair cutting lecture practice of the hallo technique is difficult to understand because the learning media is not yet effective. Based on these problems, this research aims to develop effective learning media for the basic hair cutting course of the hallo technique. The method used in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) research method with the 4-D (Four-D) development model. The stages of the 4D model are Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The type of learning media applied uses The Hallo Hair Cutting Technique Video Tutorial media. The conclusion of the research results shows that the learning media produced is effective as indicated by the difference in student learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. This media can be used as a learning medium for the Basic Hair Trimming Course, the hallo technique.
