Stage makeup material is a lesson contained in the subjects of Hand, Foot, Nail Art and Special and Creative Makeup subjects. This study aims to develop video media on stage makeup materials at SMK N 7 Padang and determine the level of validity and practicality of video media on stage makeup materials at SMK N 7 Padang. The type of this research is research and development with a 4-D (Four-D) development model. The stages of the 4D model are the defining stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. The subjects of this study were students of class XI of the Beauty Cosmetology Program at SMK N 7 Padang. Subjects were taken from one class with a total of 30 students. The data analysis technique that will be used in this research is descriptive analysis. The validity test was obtained from the validation sheet based on the assessment of the expert validators, while the practicality test was obtained from the research instrument in the form of teacher and student response questionnaires. The value of the media design validation is 0.90 with a very valid category and 0.85 for material validation with a very valid category. The value of practicality is obtained from the teacher by 97.2% in the very practical category and from the students by 88.2% in the very practical category. It is recommended for further researchers to develop similar things in learning media, both in the subjects of Hand, Foot, Nail Art and Special and Creative Makeup as well as in other subjects.
