Abstract


This paper analyze the relationship between creative problem-solving, creative self-efficacy and academic achievement. Method used in this research is a literature review. The result of the study conclude several points: 1) Creative self-efficacy which is collaborated with a growth mindset have been identified as critical factors in students’ academic achievement. 2) Students who apply creative-based approaches in their learning process and adapt with creative problem-solving approaches are identified better in facing and overcoming the challenges in academic and future career. 3) Several aspects related creative-based approaches which are profitable for increasing student creativity are including the ability to look at various solutions, tolerate ambiguity. Vital programs that effective to maximize the ability in looking at various solutions and tolerate ambiguity are student internship conducted in industrial field, workshop and project-based study. The result of this study will be adapted in learning process conducted in make up and beauty department of Tourism and Hospitality Faculty to increase student creativity. The effectiveness of this approach can be analyze through competence test that should be taken by students in the final year of study
