Pattern magic is a unique fashion pattern originally from Japan. The body shape of Asians is not much different, therefore both Japanese and Indonesian women are assumed to be not much in different too. This study aims to describe: (1) Weaknesses of the paring down and opening out magic pattern on Indonesian women’s ideal body shape 2) How to improve the weaknesses of the paring down and opening out magic pattern on the ideal body shape of Indonesian women, 3) The suitability of the magic paring down and opening out pattern on Indonesian women’s ideal body shape. The type of the research is applied research, the object is the pattern of magic paining down and opening out on the ideal body shape of Indonesian women who are fitted 3 times with 3 lecturer panels who are experts in the field of fashion. The data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the magic paring down and opening out pattern on the body shape of Indonesian women contained 1) weakness (fitting I) with an average percentage rating of 66% the category was quite appropriate. 2) How to repair (fitting II), obtained a value of 82% with the appropriate category. 3) the suitability of the paring down and opening out magic pattern was obtained in the overall percentage of 93% with a very suitable category.
