The Effect of Service Quality and Location on Tourist Satisfaction in Several Restaurants Padang City

Abstract


This research begins with observation of the low satisfaction of tourists shopping in some restaurants that are in the city's field travel object, which is because the lack of reception of restaurant employees in providing services to tourists, Communications provided by the server make travellers less comfortable and also difficult to find public transport that can directly access restaurants located in the city's field travel object. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, the sampling technique is carried out by purposive sampling method and using the Slovin formula obtained a sample of 99 samples, data collection is carried out using a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability, data collection techniques using structured questionnaires, data analysis techniques used carried out consists of testing the research instrument, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that separately the service variable has a positive effect on tourist satisfaction with a t-test value of 2.639 and a Sig value of 0.010 <0.05. The location variable separately has a positive effect on tourist satisfaction with a t-value of 5.652 and a Sig value of 0.000 <0.05 while simultaneously a Sig value of 0.000 is obtained, this means that there is a positive influence of service and location variables on tourist satisfaction in several restaurants in Padang and obtained an R Square value of 0.345, this means that 34.5% of tourist satisfaction is influenced by service quality and location
