Abstract
Fragrant pandanus leaves are plants that produce fibers in the leaves through a scraping process where these fibers can be used as a new alternative in making fantasy false eyelashes. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of false eyelashes from fragrant pandanus leaf fibers in terms of laboratory, organoleptic, hedonic and T tests. The object of the study was false eyelashes from the fibers of fragrant pandan leaves. The data type uses primary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, documentation and questionnaires. For the assessment, the panelists were 15 people. Based on the results of laboratory tests of the average tensile strength of 13.5%, the modulus test of elasticity of the creep value of 0.12%, the smoothness test of fibers 5.55% . The results of the organoleptic test of fragrant pandan leaf fibers the indicator of flexibility (73.3%) are very flexible, the lightness indicator (40.0%) is very light and neatness (53.3%) is very neat. The results of the panelists' favorite hedonic test (66.6%) were very fond and the aesthetic indicators (60.0%) were very beautiful. Based on the results of the fantasy eyelashes t-test from human hair and eyelashes from the fibers of fragrant pandan leaves, there were significant differences in the lightenness indicators. On the indicators of flexibility, neatness, liking of panelists and aesthetics there is no significant difference. It can be concluded that the eyelashes of fragrant pandan leaves are declared viable because there are no significant differences based on hypothesis analysis.
