Abstract
False eyelashes are made of human, animal and synthetic hair. This study aims to analyze the comparison of false eyelashes from kepok banana stem midrib fibers with real human hair seen from laboratory tests, organoleptic tests, hedonic tests and T tests. This study was a quasi-experimental study (quasi-experimental). For the assessment of false eyelashes, there are 9 panelists. Based on the results of laboratory tests, the results obtained are 0.13% tensile strength, 0.14% modulus of elasticity test, and 13.42 fiber fineness test. The results of the organoleptic test of false eyelashes from real human hair are tapering indicators (66.6%), lightness indicators (55.5%) and neatness indicators (44.4%) and the neat category. The results of the panelist's favorite hedonic test (77.7%). The results of the organoleptic test of false eyelashes from the stem fiber of the banana stem kepok are flexibility indicators (55.5%), lightness indicators (44.4%) and neatness (66.7%). The results of the panelist's favorite hedonic test (44.4%). There is no comparison in the flexibility of the t count = -0.632< (t table 2.048), the lightening of the t count = 1.131 < (t table 2.048), the neatness of the t count = 1.437 < (t table 2.048), the panelists' preference for the t count = -1.155 < (t table 2.048). The author suggests the need for the use of natural fiber from the midrib of the kepok banana stem in order to reduce environmental pollution.
