The Effect of Work Engagement on Turnover Intention through Job Satisfaction as a Mediation Variable at Whiz Prime Hotel Padang City

Abstract
This study begins with the discovery of several facts about the high turnover rate, work engagement, job satisfaction that occurred at Whiz Prime Hotel Padang. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work engagement on turnover intention with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at Whiz Prime Hotel, Padang City. his research is a quantitative causal associative approach. The population of this study is staff who have worked for more than 1 year at Whiz Prime Hotel Padang. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The implementation of this research is by distributing questionnaires to staff with 41 statements that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using path analysis with smart PLS software. the results of the study (1) there is a positive and significant effect between the variables of work engagement and job satisfaction. (2) there is a negative and significant effect between work engagement on turnover intention at Whiz Prime Padang (3) There is a negative and significant effect between job satisfaction variables on turnover intention (4) There is a negative and significant effect between work engagement on turnover intention through job satisfaction as mediation at Whiz Prime Hotel Padang. (5) job satisfaction is able to mediate work engagement and turnover intention variables
